Updated the website quite a bit this weekend. A rehearsal schedule has been added to the list of links on the left hand side. It will list, by day, what is being rehearsed and at what time. You can click the title of the song to see info on the song, lyrics when applicable, other rehearsal dates for that song, music if it's been made, and most importantly if you are playing in it. Also if you click on your name under the "musicians" link you can also click on the song titles there to see all of the same info. It took me a while to make all these links but hopefully it will save me from making mistakes again and help all of you know with confidence what you play in and when you play in it. Now off to notate La Paloma Rouge...

Been hard at work this week and heres whats new...
Pieces section has now been updated and modified. Clicking on each piece will bring you to a page informing you of who is performing on this pieces as well as let you view the music and hear a recording. Some music has not been finished and some tracks have never been recorded. These links will become available as I finish them. Some of the sheet music is also a bit screwy (words will be out of place, your part may be called something other than what it is in the top left corner, random words may be here and there). Trying to make a good master score and good individuals parts is complicated in finale. The printed version we will use in rehearsal will be more or less perfect as I edited them each individually before printing.
Thanks to Elizabeth Schwinck for volunteering to be another trombone. I still need one more!
I went into gallery theatre this week and built (with help) a door in a frame, I'm still looking for a couch that we can use for the performance. I also went and looked at a bell for the church bell piece and made some headway on getting the steamwhistle up and working. Shari Welch has provided a great promotional poster for the event and can be seen here. I would like to start promoting the show so if anyone has any avenues to promote with let me know.
We start our rehearsals next month and I'm very excited to get music into everyones hands. I will leave copies of the music as I finish them in the office with Donna starting Monday morning. You can drop in and grab your music so you can get a chance to look over it for issues and run through it before rehearsals.
and lastley...I stumbled upon something very exciting this week. I was researching some stuff for the program (which btw is almost finished) and found something called a Stringraphy. I love new instruments and I love building instruments. I am planning on turning ICE into a giant harp using this concept. I am so busy it may be hard to pull off but I've begun the building process. Ahhh so busy! Anyone want to do my homework for the rest of the term? :)

Lots of news!
I have confirmed we will be having photography by Ben Karlin and filming by MCM channel 11 courtesy of Liz Schillinger. Thanks to these people we will all have record of this great show! I also have secured costumes and a few of our more difficult props thanks to Linda Price and Paula Terry of Gallery Theatre as well as some of my helpful musicians. The Program for the show has been set up and will be posted online sometime before April. I have secured through Linfields EMS equipment so we can rehearse our film pieces to the actual films. Musicians...we have a conflict with the rehearsal space on April 4th Im going to meet with Donna today to try and struggle to work this out as we cant afford to lose rehearsals that night. Lastly Cynthia Lester has joined us on flute and Michael Quillen on trumpet. All we need now are two trombones and a baritone!! Things are coming together!

Thanks to Andy Munn for stepping into the role of assistant producer. He will be helping me hold the reins steady for this complex show and making sure it lives up to the hype.

The schedule for rehearsals has now been emailed out and parts have been reassigned for some pieces so players please check to see if there are any changes for you. Im about to finish "La Paloma Rouge" and hopefully schedule the rehearsals together with another piece so we dont have to set up anymore days.

Thanks to Ally Ross for filling the coveted piano player role in this recital. I'm just waiting on a couple schedules still but I will be posting rehearsal times by late sunday I hope. I still need a few more players so if you know someone send them this way.
2/14/08-
We have some new recruits! Thanks to Geoff Young; Ashley Page; David Quillen; Sam Dinsmore; Jennifer De Moss; Brian Bender and Heidi Vanden Bos! I still am looking for more though. See musicians needed for an updated list of instruments still needed. If you play a concert band instrument and it's not listed as needed I can still likely use you to help increase the size of the band.
2/10/08-
Currently Musicians are being added as well as pieces to the program. If you play an instrument or can sing please head over to the musicians needed link as I need more musicians to make this show a reality!
